Mending a Sock Heel with Duplicate Stitch
One of my favorite pairs of socks, the prototype of my Best Worsted Socks, has landed in my mending pile. After many years of wear, the heel is getting thin. To repair the thin spot and extend the life of my socks, I'm mending the weak spot with duplicate stitch.
