G.H. Bass and Fred Perry Launch Punk-Meets-Prep Penny Loafers

G.H. Bass is injecting its signature Weejuns penny loafers with a dash of punky, streetwear flair with the help of heritage sportswear brand Fred Perry.

Both the Larson and Layton silhouette feature a leather in-sock finished with a tartan plaid trim taken from Fred Perry's recently reissued Harrington jacket. Contrast trim above the outsole and the Laurel Wreath embedded on the heel tab also reference the iconic Fred Perry brand.

Other features shared by both silhouettes include a liberal use of polished leather, beefroll stitching, classic moccasin stitching, and a thick, ridged command-style outsole constructed from flexible ethylene-vinyl-acetate for cushion. The simpler Larson Weejun is available in red oxblood and navy blue, while the tassled Layton Kiltie Weejun comes in bottle green and black. 

Both G.H. Bass x Fred Perry Weejun penny loafers are available in all colors for $220 online.
